School of Liberal Arts Hosts Graduate Student Orientation for Academic Year 2025
On Saturday, June 14, 2025, the School of Liberal Arts, University of Phayao, organized a virtual orientation program for incoming graduate students via Zoom Meeting, from 12:40 PM to 4:30 PM. The event was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Khomkrich Tachom, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, along with program chairs, academic advisors, and administrative staff.
The orientation aimed to prepare graduate students for their academic journey by providing essential information about the educational context, university regulations, and expectations within the School of Liberal Arts. The program also sought to foster a deeper understanding of graduate-level responsibilities and available academic resources.
The event was honored by the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Chittima Kaweera, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts, who delivered the opening remarks and officially welcomed the new graduate cohort.
Key activities during the orientation included:
- A welcome video showcasing highlights from past graduate activities.
- Introduction of the school’s executive team, school’s experts, program chairs, academic advisors, and academic support staff.
- A welcome address and words of encouragement by the Dean.
- Greetings from program chairs and academic advisors.
- An overview of academic guidelines and the use of the Grad.up.ac.th system by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs.
- A presentation by the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs on the academic calendar, the I-Thesis system, and available student services.
- A session by the Head of Learning Resources Services introducing library services, along with tutorials on using EndNote and Turnitin.
- A briefing by program coordinators on course management and opportunities for academic exchange.
The School of Liberal Arts extends its appreciation to all participants and contributors who made the orientation a meaningful and informative experience for the graduate student community.
