On April 3, 2025, the Operations Division of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Phayao hosted the "ESPReL" initiative, aimed at defining laboratory safety standards in Thailand. The session was facilitated by Assistant Professor Dr. Apichat Buakla, Associate Dean for Administration and Special Affairs, alongside Assistant Professor Dr. Erawin Thavorn, Associate Dean for Research and Academic Services. The event took place in the Computer Laboratory (EN 1301) within the Faculty of Engineering Building and was organized for laboratory instructors and internal personnel.
The event had the privilege of featuring two esteemed guest speakers: Ms. Khuruwan klinbumrung, a scientist from Innovation and Technology Transfer Institute, and Ms. Patcharin jaikhor, a scientist from School of Medical Sciences. Both speakers delivered insightful presentations on a range of engaging topics ;

- - Setup of safety instruments and apparatus
- - Establishing the framework for implementing laboratory safety standards
This initiative aids in advancing research laboratories to comply with global safety standards, improves the quality of research activities, and establishes a clear system for applying and tracking the ESPReL standards within the Faculty of Engineering.
