The University of Phayao announced the results of the annual website standard competition for its departments and faculties on Friday, December 25, 2024. Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Phongsabangpho, President of the University of Phayao, presided over the award ceremony, presenting certificates of recognition to faculties and departments with outstanding achievements in website development. The competition was organized by the Information and Communication Technology Service Center to encourage all university departments to improve their website content, ensuring it is beneficial, up-to-date, and efficiently accessible to the public.
This initiative also aims to establish guidelines and techniques for developing university websites to meet international standards in both Thai and English versions. By employing SEO techniques, including both On-Page and Off-Page strategies, the competition seeks to enhance website accessibility for search engines such as Google and Microsoft Edge.
This year, the School of Political and Social Sciences received the AA-Level Website Standard Award for 2025, ranking among 16 participating departments. This achievement reflects the faculty’s commitment to enhancing the quality of internal university websites. The Faculty’s Digital Organization Development and Website Committee, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Chayanun Maneewan, Associate Dean for Administration and Organizational Development, Mr. Thanarin Kongthuan, Head of Planning and IT Specialist, and Ms. Penpitak Rattanahiran, Public Relations Officer, played a key role in driving and improving the website. Their efforts ensured that the faculty's website aligns with its policies and vision to become a “Political Science and Social Innovation Hub for the Community” – a place that is engaging, enjoyable, and conducive to learning.
This project is part of the university’s broader efforts to enhance its website rankings at both national and international levels, ensuring that the website meets the needs of its users. The website standard competition marks a significant milestone in strengthening the university’s reputation and the quality of its online information services on a global scale.
