Students from the Bachelor of Engineering Program in Civil Engineering, School of Engineering, University of Phayao, have achieved national recognition by securing two Honorable Mention Awards in the Building Information Modeling (BIM) Quantity Surveying Competition 2026, held on 22–23 July 2026. The competition was jointly organized by the Engineering Institute of Thailand under H.M. The King's Patronage (EIT) and Sripatum University at the 40th Anniversary Building, Sripatum University, and the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), Bangkok.
The competition was designed to enhance students' competencies in applying Building Information Modeling (BIM) to building information management in accordance with the Level of Development 350 (LOD 350) standard. Participants were required to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application across five core competency areas: building modeling, quantity surveying and cost estimation, construction documentation, multidisciplinary collaboration, and project management aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions through low-carbon construction practices. These objectives are closely aligned with sustainable development principles and the global commitment to achieving Net Zero Emissions.
Demonstrating exceptional technical expertise, collaborative capability, and professional competence, students from the Civil Engineering Program, School of Engineering, University of Phayao, earned two Honorable Mention Awards, as follows:
Honorable Mention Award – Teamwork Excellence Category
Team CAECM-UP03
Mr. Pichai Anee
Mr. Krerkrit Tantharapornrerk
Ms. Kanyapat Sanguansin
Honorable Mention Award – Overall Performance Category
Team CAECM-UP01
Mr. Thanawat Wongdao
Mr. Greg William Howell
Mr. Kla Konkaew
In addition, Mr. Ritthayut Konthong, Lecturer in the Civil Engineering Program and the team's School advisor, was recognized for his outstanding mentorship and dedication to developing students' academic and professional capabilities. He received two Outstanding Advisor Honorable Mention Awards:
Outstanding Advisor Honorable Mention Award – Overall Performance Category
