The Division of Research Administration of the University of Phayao, in collaboration with the Phase 2 Creative Economy Promotion Project of Phayao Province, organized the “Spatial Skills Level 4” workshop under the Reinventing University Project on 4–5 June 2026 at the University of Phayao.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Samur Thanoi, Ph.D. Vice President for Research and Innovation, who emphasized the importance of area-based development and community-engaged research. The program aimed to equip faculty members and researchers with practical skills to become development partners working closely with local communities.

The training focused on community asset mapping, SDGs mapping, project feasibility assessment, Social Return on Investment (SROI), and research leadership development. Participants also developed community-based Research Action Plans, emphasizing participatory research, measurable outcomes, and sustainable local impact.
