University of Phayao, in Collaboration with the Fulbright Program, Hosts a Special Lecture Series by Professor Timothy E. O’Brien to Enhance Research Capacity and International Publication Standards
The University of Phayao welcomed Professor Timothy E. O’Brien from Loyola University Chicago as a Fulbright Specialist to deliver a special lecture and workshop series aimed at strengthening research capacity, academic writing, and international research grant proposal development. The program was held from 17 December 2025 to 9 January 2026.
University of Phayao – On Monday, 22 December 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of University of Phayao, together with the university’s executive team—Asst. Prof. Dr. Chonthida Thephinlap, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phanintra Teeranon, Assistant to the President; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Narin Nonthamand, Assistant to the President—warmly welcomed Professor O’Brien at the President’s Meeting Room.
Also present was Ms. Wilailuck Krutpan, Acting Director of the Division of Educational Services.
Professor O’Brien’s visit was part of the Fulbright Specialist Program, supporting the University of Phayao’s drive for academic excellence through a series of special lectures and hands-on workshops. The program was coordinated by the Division of Educational Services and the International Relations Office, in collaboration with the Faculty of Science, School of Medicine, School of Dentistry, the Research Administration Division, and the University of Phayao Demonstration School.
