Engineering UP Undergoes EdPEx Evaluation Advancing Organizational Quality Towards Excellence

The School of Engineering at the University of Phayao conducted its annual internal quality assessment based on the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx) for the 2024 academic year from 25–26 November 2025 at Meeting Room EN1104. The assessment aimed to review the School’s performance in key administrative areas over the past year and to strengthen the overall quality, robustness, and systematicity of its organizational operations.

For this assessment, the School was honored to welcome three distinguished experts serving as the evaluation committee:

• Asst. Prof. Tawanchai Pohom, School of Engineering, Ubon Ratchathani University (Committee Chair)

• Asst. Prof. Dr. Suwanna Dechathai, School of Science, Mae Fah Luang University (Committee Member)

• Asst. Prof. Dr. Aksarakorn Kummasuk, School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Phayao (Committee Member)

The evaluation process was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nattapong Damrongwiriyanupap, Dean of the School of Engineering, together with the executive team. They presented a comprehensive performance overview for the past year, including administration and governance, student development, research achievements, academic services, and resource management. The review was conducted in alignment with the EdPEx framework, which emphasizes process excellence and results-driven continuous improvement.

Throughout the assessment activities, administrators, School members, and staff engaged in systematic learning about internal quality assurance at the School level. The process highlighted the importance of holistic organizational management covering leadership, strategy, stakeholders, personnel, operational processes, and performance outcomes.

The evaluation results and recommendations provided by the expert committee will serve as critical inputs for strategic planning and operational improvement in the coming year. These insights will support the School’s ongoing efforts to enhance organizational quality, promote efficiency and transparency, and uphold principles of good governance—ultimately ensuring that the School of Engineering continues to effectively meet the needs and expectations of all stakeholders.
