On 20 November 2025, the Bachelor of Engineering programs in Industrial Engineering and Electrical Engineering, School of Engineering, University of Phayao, received Japanese language textbooks aimed at strengthening students’ foreign language proficiency. Asst. Anothai Klakankhai represented the School in formally accepting the textbooks from the Sui Sensei Japanese Language Academy (Bearing) (www.siammirai.com).
This support represents an important contribution to enhancing students’ linguistic capabilities and their readiness for international engagement. It also aligns with current trends in modern industry and manufacturing, which place increasing emphasis on workforce members who possess knowledge of the Japanese language and culture—skills that are directly relevant to numerous Japanese-invested industries operating in Thailand.
Students enrolled in the Industrial Engineering and Electrical Engineering programs are eligible to participate in the online Japanese language course via Zoom, available from 23 November 2025 to 5 April 2026. The classes will be held every Sunday from 13:00 to 15:00, free of charge.
This initiative reflects the strong collaboration between the University and a leading private language institute, aimed at expanding learning opportunities and fostering sustainable skill development for students. It also supports the preparation of graduates for an increasingly competitive global labour market.
