Third-year Medical Technology students undertook a comprehensive rehearsal of blood donation service

Third-year Medical Technology students undertook a comprehensive rehearsal of blood donation service procedures to enhance operational readiness and ensure the highest standards of safety and precision in preparation for the Blood Donation Event in Commemoration of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, scheduled for 21 November 2025.

On 16 November 2025, third-year students of the Medical Technology Program conducted an intensive training session aimed at strengthening their operational competencies in blood donation services. The exercise was designed to refine procedural accuracy, reinforce systematic workflows, and uphold stringent safety standards. This initiative serves to ensure that the forthcoming blood donation event, held in remembrance of and as a royal merit-making tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, will proceed smoothly, correctly, and with minimal risk of procedural error.

Blood donation services require meticulous attention to detail and uncompromising accuracy across all stages—from donor screening and health history assessment to venipuncture procedures and post-donation care. As such, all personnel must possess comprehensive knowledge, sound professional judgment, and proficient practical skills to prevent adverse events and foster donor confidence.

During the training session, the students engaged in a series of hands-on practical exercises, including step-by-step review of operational procedures, verification of medical equipment readiness, simulated emergency response scenarios, and guided practice in donor communication techniques across varied circumstances. These activities were designed to cultivate service excellence and enhance the students’ professional competencies.

This rehearsal represents a vital effort to elevate the quality of services delivered by the blood donation unit, ensuring that every blood donor receives safe, precise, and ethically grounded care. Moreover, it reflects the program’s commitment to providing a positive, meaningful experience for all individuals participating in this life-saving act of compassion.
