On 11 May 2026, the School of Business and Communication Arts (BCA), University of Phayao, participated in the University’s ethics and governance initiative aimed at strengthening transparency, integrity, and responsible institutional practices. The program, organized by the University Legal Division, was held at CE11206 Lecture Building, University of Phayao.
The school was represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Thantip Kruhayothin, Dean of the School of Business and Communication Arts, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Warunya Chaitarin, Associate Dean for Strategic Administration and Organizational Quality. Their participation reflected the School’s commitment to fostering an organizational culture grounded in ethical leadership, accountability, and good governance.
The event focused on enhancing knowledge and understanding of morality, ethics, and good governance among university personnel, while also raising awareness of the “No Gift Policy” as a key mechanism for preventing corruption and conflicts of interest. The initiative aligns with the Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA) framework, which emphasizes transparency, accountability, and ethical practices in organizational operations. In addition, the project encouraged personnel to comply appropriately with ethical guidelines regarding the acceptance of assets and benefits in a transparent, fair, and accountable manner.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongsbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, while Mr. Satachan Wannawoharn, Director of the Division of Legal Affairs, delivered the project report. The program also featured lectures by Mr. Watcharan Khumma, Senior Inquiry Official from the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), Region 5 Office. The lectures covered three key topics: “Morality and Ethical Principles for University of Phayao Personnel,” “Concepts and Importance of the No Gift Policy and Proper Practices: What to Accept, What Not to Accept, and How to Report Correctly,” and “Understanding the Principle of Ethical Acceptance of Assets and Its Practical Interpretation.” The event also included an interactive Q&A and discussion session to strengthen participants’ practical understanding.
Participation in this project reflects the strong commitment of the School of Business Administration and Communication Arts, University of Phayao, to fostering an organizational culture grounded in morality, ethics, transparency, and good governance. It also demonstrates the School’s dedication to advancing sustainable institutional development in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 16 (SDG 16): “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.”
