Associate Professor Dr. Nattapong Damrongwiriyanupap, Dean of School of Engineering at the University of Phayao, participated in the 47th Council of Engineering Deans of Thailand Meeting (Session 1/2026), along with the “Peer Visit Program” (Session 1/2026), held from 5–6 March 2026. The event was hosted by the School of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University and took place at Meeting Room 308, Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy.
During the meeting, six strategic working groups of the Council of Engineering Deans of Thailand were formally introduced. These groups focus on key areas of national engineering education development, including:
- • Research, Innovation, and Societal Engagement
- • STEM Pipeline Development for Young Engineering Talents
- • Network Collaboration and Student Affairs
- • Educational Quality and Standards
- • Engineering Education, Lifelong Learning (LLL), and Up-Re-New Skills Development
- • Strategic Planning and Roadmap Development
In addition, participants visited laboratories at School of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. The visit provided an opportunity for council members to engage in academic discussions, exchange perspectives, and strengthen professional relationships among engineering deans nationwide.
This collaborative platform is expected to further reinforce academic cooperation and contribute to the advancement of a robust national network for engineering education and research in Thailand.
