School of Engineering, University of Phayao, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Nuttanon Pongpanit, Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Industrial Collaboration, participated in a seminar entitled “New Industrial Grid Code and Sustainability” The event was jointly organized by the Northern Industrial Estate Office (NIEO) in collaboration with Gunkul Engineering Public Company Limited and its affiliated companies. The seminar was held on Friday, 6 February 2026, from 09:00 to 16:00 hrs., at the Grand Pa Conference Room, Grand Pa Hotel and Resort, Lamphun Province.
The seminar aimed to disseminate knowledge and best practices related to the newly introduced Industrial Grid Code, in conjunction with principles of sustainable development. Particular emphasis was placed on effective energy management within the industrial sector, the integration of clean energy technologies and innovative solutions, the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, and environmental management aligned with international standards and low-carbon industrial development frameworks.
Participation in this seminar underscores the School of Engineering’s strategic role in bridging academic expertise with industrial practice. It reflects the institution’s commitment to high-competency workforce development and the integration of university–industry collaboration. Such engagement is essential for supporting the energy transition and enhancing the long-term competitiveness of Thailand’s industrial sector in an increasingly carbon-constrained global economy.
