On 13 December 2025, the Bachelor of Engineering Program in Civil Engineering, School of Engineering, University of Phayao, led by Associate Professor Dr. Somboon Shaingchin, Program Chair, organized the “Training Program on Products and Innovations in Infrastructure Construction” for second- to fourth-year civil engineering students. The activity was conducted under the student training initiative “Sharing Knowledge with Jorakhey Mentors”
The program was honored by a team of expert speakers from Jorakhey Corporation Co., Ltd., who delivered comprehensive knowledge on construction products and innovations applied in infrastructure engineering. The lectures covered theoretical foundations, product characteristics, selection criteria, and practical application of innovations in real-world construction contexts, including:
- Waterproofing systems
- Swimming pool construction
- Infrastructure construction projects such as roads, bridges, and mass rapid transit systems
In addition, hands-on workshops were organized to provide students with experiential learning opportunities, fostering in-depth understanding of product utilization and innovative solutions in infrastructure construction. These activities also aimed to enhance professional competencies aligned with current industry demands.
This training program was designed to prepare civil engineering students both academically and professionally prior to undertaking internships or cooperative education placements. The initiative contributes to strengthening graduates’ competencies, enabling them to adapt effectively and apply engineering knowledge with confidence and efficiency in their future civil engineering careers.
