On 20 October 2025, the School of Political and Social Sciences organized the “Tak Bat Theworohana and Tan Tod Cultural Seminar and Exhibition 2025” at the Phukamyao Building. The event was opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Direk Theeraputtorn, Vice President for Corporate Communications, with a welcome address by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Montra Pongnil, Dean of the School.
More than 80 participants from within and outside the University attended the event, which was held in collaboration with Wat Pa Phra Ubalee, Mae Ka Subdistrict Municipality, community leaders, and cultural networks across Phayao Province.
The exhibition showcased cultural knowledge of the Tak Bat Theworohana and Tan Tod traditions, cultural performances by elderly community groups, and a panel discussion featuring experts in religion, academia, and local culture.
The event reflects the University of Phayao’s vision to promote cultural innovation, aligning with its mission of “Creating Wisdom and Innovation for Sustainable Global Communities.” It serves as a platform connecting lived experiences with academic insight, fostering a deeper appreciation of local heritage.
