School of Business and Communication Arts Organizes “BCA Big Cleaning Day”

BCA

On 11 June 2026, the School of Business and Communication Arts, University of Phayao, organized the “BCA Big Cleaning Day” project on the first and second floors of the Phukamyao Learning Building. The initiative was designed to promote a clean, organized, and safe learning and working environment while enhancing the efficient use of shared spaces in accordance with the principles of the 5S workplace organization system.

The project was officially opened by Dr. Nittaya Boonchum, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Corporate Communications, and International Mission, who outlined the objectives and implementation of the activity in front of the Tourism Laboratory. She also emphasized the School’s and the University’s commitment to the efficient use of resources, the development of supportive learning and working environments, and the promotion of environmentally responsible practices across the organization.

Following the opening ceremony, faculty members, students, and support staff worked together to clean and improve designated areas throughout the School. Activities included organizing offices and workspaces, maintaining common areas, and sorting materials and waste prior to disposal to encourage appropriate waste management and responsible resource use. Participants also cleaned and prepared various facilities to ensure their readiness and functionality for future use.

The project aimed to enhance the School’s physical environment by improving cleanliness, orderliness, safety, and overall appearance. It also sought to promote the continuous implementation of the 5S principles, foster a sense of shared responsibility for communal spaces, and encourage active participation among faculty members and students in maintaining a positive and sustainable campus environment. These efforts contribute to creating an atmosphere that supports learning, working, and campus life.

This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by promoting a learning environment that supports student development and well-being, and SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, through encouraging appropriate waste management practices, efficient resource utilization, and collective participation in environmental stewardship within the School.
