BCA

On 13 June 2026, the School of Business and Communication Arts, University of Phayao, in collaboration with the School’s Student Association, organized the creative orientation program “BCA Once Upon a Time” under the project “BCA First Step Forward: The First Step Toward Success in BCA” for new students of the BCA Class of 2026. The event was held at Room UB003, the 99th Anniversary Building of Phra Ubali Khunupamachan (Puang Dhammappanyo), University of Phayao.

On this occasion, Mr. Kamolphong Rattanasanguanwong, Associate Dean for Student Experience and Quality Development, officially opened the program and warmly welcomed the new students. He also introduced key aspects of university life, collaborative learning, and opportunities for participation in various academic and extracurricular activities within the School.

The program aimed to foster positive relationships between senior and junior students while promoting a supportive learning environment and strengthening students’ sense of belonging within the School community. This year’s orientation was organized under the theme “BCA Retro Rookie: New Students with a Vintage Twist.” Participants engaged in a range of learning-based and recreational activities designed to reflect the unique identities of the School’s academic programs through eight themed houses: Megaphone House (Communication Management), Film Reel House (New Media Communication Management), Abacus House (Finance and Investment), Stamp House (Business Management), Dot-Com House (Digital Marketing), Grocery Store House (Accountancy), Railway House (Tourism and Hotel), and Scale House (Economics).

In addition, the Student Association organized recreational activities that encouraged teamwork, communication, and friendship among students from different academic programs. The program concluded with the symbolic candle-lighting ceremony, “A Candle Lit at BCA,” which served as a meaningful welcome for new students joining the BCA family and provided encouragement as they embarked on their higher education journey.

This program aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment that contributes to students’ holistic development, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through collaboration among the School, the Student Association, and senior students in cultivating a strong and supportive learning community within the University.
