On 9 June 2026, School of Engineering University of Phayao, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Erawin Thavorn, Vice Dean for Research and Academic Services, together with School personnel, participated as representatives in the First Meeting of the University of Phayao Foundation Day Committee 2026 (No. 1/2026), held at Boworn Rattanaprasit Conference Room. The meeting was organized by the Central Administration Division of the University of Phayao to prepare for the implementation of activities commemorating the 16th Anniversary of the University of Phayao, marking the University’s Foundation Day. The meeting also served as a platform for discussing public relations initiatives to be undertaken by individual units under the concept of “16 Check-in Points”
During the meeting, the School of Engineering presented its exhibition booth concept, which highlights the School’s role in advancing its academic, research, and community engagement missions. The proposed exhibition showcases the School’s collaborative efforts in supporting the Kamnan Dech Distilled Spirits Community Enterprise (Khiri Khal Brand), demonstrating how engineering knowledge and innovation can be effectively integrated into community development initiatives to generate tangible social and economic benefits.
In addition, the committee reviewed and discussed the draft appointment orders for the 16th Anniversary Celebration Committee and the Operational Committee, aiming to establish clear roles, responsibilities, and operational frameworks for all parties involved. The meeting also considered the draft program schedule for the anniversary celebration to ensure effective coordination and successful implementation of all planned activities.
The preparation and organization of this milestone event represent an important opportunity to enhance public awareness and strengthen the University's institutional image. Furthermore, the celebration reflects the collective pride in the University of Phayao’s achievements over the past 16 years of growth and development, while reaffirming its commitment to advancing as a high-quality higher education institution dedicated to creating knowledge, innovation, and meaningful contributions to society in the years ahead.
