On 19–20 February 2026, personnel from the School of Science participated in a hands-on workshop entitled “Biosafety and Biosecurity,” organized by University of Phayao at Muang Phayao Conference Room, School of Information and Communication Technology, University of Phayao.
The workshop attracted 129 participants, including School members, researchers, scientists, and students. The program focused on strengthening participants’ knowledge and understanding of biosafety principles, risk assessment and risk management strategies, as well as laboratory biosecurity practices in compliance with established standards and regulatory frameworks.
This initiative reflects the University’s continued commitment to Capacity Building, while aligning with the School of Science’s strategic objective to systematically enhance staff competencies and professional skills. By reinforcing laboratory safety and biosecurity standards, the program contributes to the advancement of high-quality, safe, and internationally compliant research, thereby laying a strong foundation for sustainable research and innovation development.
