School of Liberal Arts Promotes Programs at UP Open House 2026
On Friday, December 12, 2025, the University of Phayao (UP), led by the Division of Educational Services, organized the UP Open House 2026 event under the "Visit Program for School Administrators and Guidance Counselors to the University of Phayao." Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supakorn Phongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, led the team of administrators, faculty members, and staff in welcoming school administrators, guidance counselors, and students from Phayao and nearby provinces. The event drew an attendance of over 700 interested participants.
On this occasion, the School of Liberal Arts, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chittima Kaweera, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts, and Dr. Benjaporn Thepsihanou, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, along with academic staff members Ms. Supaporn Khamrot, Ms. Phailin Wongchai, and Mr. Sathaporn Thepaudom participated in promoting and presenting the distinctive features of its academic programs. The School emphasized developing graduates with a Global Mindset and strong language competencies to meet the demands of future global employment, highlighting the following key factors:
Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Programs in Thai, French, Chinese, Japanese, and English, which offer students the opportunity to select an additional minor language, fostering bilingual graduate potential to support communication in linguistically diverse professional contexts.
Dual Degree Programs focusing on linguistic excellence, requiring five years or less to complete, including the Bachelor of Arts in English–Chinese and English–French.
Robust Network of Cooperation with Organizations to enhance practical work skills through both domestic and international internships and Cooperative Education (Co-op) placements.
Qualified Teaching Faculty—both Thai and international—who are certified and quality-assured, alongside master teachers in teaching management across all disciplines.
Modern and Internationally Standardized Language Learning Support Facilities, such as a 270-seat language laboratory, language training software, a language center for international standard testing, and dedicated Learning Spaces facilitating self-directed learning with diverse learning media.
The School of Liberal Arts' participation in the UP Open House 2026 reflects its central role in developing language and cultural proficiencies. It also serves to build confidence among school administrators, guidance counselors, and students regarding the readiness of its programs, which aim to produce high-quality graduates capable of effective competition and work performance in an international setting.
