On 11 September 2025, the Department of Industrial Engineering, School of Engineering, University of Phayao, organized a Merit-Making Ceremony for the Industrial Engineering Laboratory Building at Seminar Room EN4406 and the Laboratory Building. The event was attended by School members, laboratory instructors, and students of the department, who joined together to uphold cherished Thai cultural traditions while invoking auspiciousness for the facilities, personnel, and students. The ceremony aimed to ensure progress, harmony, and prosperity in both teaching and academic activities within the department.
The religious rites included the invitation of five Buddhist monks to conduct chanting, receive alms offerings, and perform the sprinkling of holy water to bless the participants and the building. Following the religious ceremony, School members, staff, and students collaborated in a Big Cleaning Day activity within the Laboratory Building, creating a clean, welcoming, and supportive learning environment.
