UP Enhances Researcher Potential, Monitors Fundamental Fund Grants, and Promotes Research Publication at International Level
The University of Phayao, under the leadership of Professor Dr. Samur Thanoi, Vice President for Research and Innovation, organized two events: "Development of Researchers and Monitoring of Fundamental Fund (FF) Projects for FY 2024 - 2025" and "Area-Based Research Publication Camp, 5th Edition." These events took place from March 19th to 21st, 2025, at the Kantary Hills Hotel in Chiang Mai.

The objectives of this event were:

          • Promote Researcher Development and Elevate Research Standards: Monitor progress on FF-funded projects and encourage tangible outcomes. Support the publication of area-based research in international journals, enhance researcher capacity, and maintain the university’s "Past Performance" at a Q1 level, as per the Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI) evaluation standards.

          • Foster Knowledge Exchange: Provide an important platform for FF grant recipients in 2025 to learn operational guidelines and share knowledge, creating a stronger research development mechanism.

The event was attended by 23 distinguished leaders and experts who served as evaluators for progress reports. In addition, there were 173 FF-funded researchers and 15 research coordinators, bringing the total number of participants to 211
