SEEN organize a field activity in “Assessing Urban Tree Carbon Sequestration Enhancement” at TK Park Learning Park and Suan Somdet Ya

On January 14, 2025, 45 students from the Energy and Environmental Management program, school of Energy and Environment, University of Phayao led by Miss Pimsiri Suwannapat, organized a field activity to enhance professional skills in “Assessing Urban Tree Carbon Sequestration Enhancement” at TK Park Learning Park and Suan Somdet Ya (Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Boromarajajonani Park) in Mueang District, Phayao Province. The activity was supported by the Phayao Learning City Project and Phayao Municipality and has been conducted for the second consecutive year.

Preliminary results from tree data measurements and carbon enhancement analysis in the area showed an increase in carbon sequestration of over 5 tons of CO2 equivalent for 2024 compared to the previous year. This data will be verified and shared with the landowners and relevant agencies in the future.
