The School of Allied Health Sciences at University of Phayao hosted a New Year's alms-giving ceremony on Thursday, January 9th, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
The event, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Puttipong Poncumhak, Dean of the School, brought together faculty, staff, students, and members of the community to celebrate the start of the new year 2568 (2025 CE). A highlight of the ceremony was the offering of rice and dry food to five Buddhist monks.
This year, the school invited two distinguished monks: Phra Kru Udompawanacharn (Luang Pu Thongsuk Uttarapanjo) from Ananlayothipayaram Temple and Phra Pannya Phisalthera (Luang Pho Khammoon Chitmaro), the Provincial Abbot of Phayao-Nan (Dhammayut) and Abbot of Rattanwararam Temple. They offered New Year's blessings and sprinkled holy water for good fortune and prosperity.
The warm and auspicious ceremony took place in the School's Hall and was graced by the presence of deans from several other schools at the University of Phayao, including Public Health, Energy and Environment, Nursing, Dentistry, Science, Liberal Arts, and Architecture and Art. The School of Allied Health Sciences extends its sincere thanks to all participants and wishes everyone happiness and success throughout 2025.
