On 7th November 2014, Medical Technology team of the School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Phayao led by a team of division of Clinical Immunology and Transfusion Sciences hosted the event of “SLF; Unite for Blood, Give blood, Give life, 12th anniversary”. The scheme was consecutively held for up to 12 years on 2024 academic year. The event was jointly organized by the Student Loan Fund section which is a part of Student Support and Disabilities Division, University of Phayao. The team from Red Cross Society service section no. 10, Phayao Hospital, Phayao Province, also joined the scheme. The venue was at AH S building Hall, School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Phayao and the timetable was from 8 am to 4 pm.
On that day, students from MT AHS UP had taken the chances to perform their skills for donor recruitment and selections across the processes. These were exhibited by handlings a haemoglobin concentraction measurements, quantification of blood pressure, blood group identifications, and collection of blood from suitable donors. The skills are parts of Transfusion Science Course which is a compulsory subject for Medical Technology Students in terms of bringing the knowledge to real-situation practice.
