School of Engineering, in collaboration with the School of Architecture an fine arts University of Phayao, sent student representatives to compete in the "BIM Object Green Design Competition 2024." Out of 50 teams from across the country, only 10 teams were selected for the final round, including the "Non-Nai" team. The competition, themed "Unlock the Future Design with Greenovation," took place on November 7, 2024, at Multipurpose Hall 4, SCG Bang Sue.
The team members included:
1. Ms. Chalisa Chaoklang, 4th-year student, Faculty of Architecture
2. Mr. Chatchai Pichai, 2nd-year student, Civil Engineering
3. Mr. Ratchanon Wannarat, 3rd-year student, Civil Engineering
The team was advised by Asst.Prof. Punnapong kullapatset, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Special Affairs; Mr. Kaittisak Saisaard Lecturer, a faculty member in the School of Architecture an fine arts and Mr.Rittayut Gonthong Lecturer, a faculty member in the School of Engineering. Additionally, Assistant Professor Dr. Apichart Buakla, Assistant Dean for Administration and Special Affairs; Mr.Thanakrit Thepumong ; and Lecturer Pratya Sanpaeng served as supporting advisors for the team.
Under the design concept inspired by the theme "Unlock the Future Design with Greenovation," the team focused on a forward-looking approach that addresses future needs and challenges by integrating environmental innovations into design. One of the key innovations emphasized in the competition was the **CPAC 3D Printing Solution**. The team incorporated the unique identity and local products of Phayao Province, blending the region's cultural heritage with modern architectural elements. Drawing inspiration from the life cycle of silkworms, they translated this into the structure’s form and included patterns of traditional fabrics and sarapee flower motifs. Their design concept envisioned a **Silk Learning Center in Phayao Province**. Their innovative approach earned them three awards :
