Record of Cooperation between University of Phayao and Nanhua University, Taiwan: Promoting Collaboration in Academics and Spatial Development to Drive the SDGs.
The University of Phayao and Nanhua University in Taiwan have signed a memorandum of cooperation to promote collaboration in academics and spatial development between our institutions. This partnership aims to support the development of friendship and cooperation in academic and management fields, including joint research projects and meetings to enhance various aspects of our work. We also plan to exchange information and develop guidelines for creating festivals that focus on creating public spaces and improving the learning experience, ultimately contributing to the development of better communities. The United Nations promotes sustainable development by advocating for environmental protection, social development, and the implementation of university social responsibility projects. This includes the concept of CSV (Creating Shared Value) at the University of Phayao and USR (University Social Responsibility) at Nanhua University.
On Tuesday, January 16th, 2024, the President of the University of Phayao, Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Phongsabangpho, welcomed the President of Nanhua University, Dr. Tsong-Ming Lin, along with the executive team from Nanhua University. The team was led by Professor Dr. Jun-Hong Lin, Dean of the Center for General Education and Co-investigator of the USR Project of Nanhua University, Professor Dr. Yeh Yueh-Chiao, Professor in the Department of Natural Biotechnology and sub-investigator of the USR Project, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ming-Che Lu, Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Sociology and sub-investigator of the USR Project. The meeting took place in the conference room of Special Professor Dr. Monthon Sanguansermsri at the University of Phayao Hospital. The group was ready to listen to a special lecture from Vice President for Research and Innovation at the University of Phayao, Professor Dr. Samer Thanoi, as well as a lecture on Cittaslow city development to drive Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the community by Professor Dr. Yeh.
