On January 12, 2024, The School of Pharmaceutical sciences, University of Phayao, led by Associate Professor Surasak Saokaew, Dean of the School of Pharmaceutical sciences and Puwicha Chai Kamwang, Deputy Dean, along with administrators, staff, and students, organized the 4th Kad Weing Wow event. The event was honored by Associate Professor Supakorn Pongbangpho, the President of University of Phayao, who presided over the opening ceremony. The event took place at the School of Pharmaceutical sciences's activity area.
"Kad Weing Wow" is an annual event that has been held for four consecutive years, with collaboration from five schools: Architecture and Fine Arts, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Public Health, Allied Health Sciences, and Nursing. The primary objective is to promote artistic talents among students, providing them with a platform to showcase their creativity and to enhance future skills.
The event featured various activities, including student exhibitions, a retro dance competition involving community participation from Phayao province, a visual exploration titled "Thai Traditions from the Past to Present" by students from six partner faculties, and the sale of products and food by students and staff.
The 4th "Kad Weing Wow" event aligns with University of Phayao's development plan by supporting Strategy 1, which aims to prepare and enhance the potential of individuals for the future. It focuses on learning management, identity promotion, and artistic talent promotion for students, contributing to the development of a quality life and fostering a sense of happiness and cultural conservation. The event further supports Strategy 4 by promoting the conservation and development of arts and culture to preserve Thai identity. It provides students with opportunities to participate in activities that conserve and revitalize good arts and culture. The overall goal is to enhance students' capabilities in analytical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, effective communication, teamwork, and community collaboration, in line with the university's motto: " Wisdom for Community Empowerment."
