คณะรัฐศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์

On November 3, 2023, at 1:30 p.m., the School of Political and Social Science (SPSS) came together to continue the Tan Tod tradition for the year 2023. The gathering involved key figures such as Associate Professor Dr. Montra Pongnil, Dean of the SPSS; Assistant Professor Dr. Chayanun Maneewan, Deputy Dean for Administration and Organizational Development; Professor Pipat Tanakit, Assistant Dean; Associate Professor Dr. Prayong Chandaeng, Lecturer in the Bachelor of Arts program in Social Development; and other staff members. Collaborating with the Central Division and students from the Student Activities Administration Organization, University of Phayao, the SPSS actively participated in embracing this prominent cultural heritage.

Following the 2023 Devorohana Ceremony on Monday, October 30th, which aimed to reinforce principles of morality and promote good governance within the organization, this Tan Tod activity was conducted in cooperation with the communities of Mae Ka sub-district. The initiative was part of the 2024 Fiscal Year’s project encompassing religious, state, and various other ceremonies. It represented a coordinated effort to strengthen ties among the university, temples, and the Mae Ka communities.

The purpose of continuing the Tan Tod tradition through this activity was not only to preserve the local tradition of Phayao Province but also to provide students and the people of Mae Ka with essential supplies, such as bags of rice and various dried foods, at the Office of the President, University of Phayao.

The SPSS takes great pride in contributing to the conservation of the Tan Tod tradition alongside the community. It is also a part of assisting fellow members of society towards achieving a better standard of living, ultimately bringing about benefits and fostering the society’s commonweal.
