University of Phayao Launches ‘BMI Challenge Show & Share 2023’ Activity for Encouraging Good Health and Well – Being of University’s Personnel
On September 20th, 2023, University of Phayao launched the Good Health and Well Being activity for university personnel under the theme of ‘BMI Challenge Show & Share 2023’. Open for all ages, the project targets and encourages university personnel to meet the standards of SDG goal number 3 and is conducted as institutional research for promoting good health and well-being. University personnel joined together for improving their body mass index and health. This activity included different participating departments with 33 units involved totally more than 1,800 participants.
Associate Professor Dr.Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, chaired the opening ceremony and actively participated in the project. This improving your health event included the following health related activities:
Personnel from different departments cooperated in 2 sports including:
1) Yoga (led by personnel from School of Science)
2) Aerobic Dancing (led by students of Sports Science and Exercise, School of Science)
Well-deserved ‘SAFA Good Health and Well-Being Awards’ were presented to participating departments and outstanding participants by the School of Architecture and School of Fine Arts. Results included both department and individual winners. The department winners were:
