On Monday, August 21, 2023, Ms. Pimsiri Suwannaphat, a Lecturer from School of Energy and Environment (SEEN), University of Phayao (UP), along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Patipat Vongruang, a Lecturer from School of Public Health (PH), took the lead in an integrated teaching and learning initiative. This endeavor took place at the micro-meteorological measuring station situated within the dry dipterocarp forest ecosystem of UP.
The primary objective of this initiative was to enhance participants' knowledge and skills in soil and water sampling within a field setting. Furthermore, the experience of collecting environmental data using semi-automatic sensors was also bolstered. The overarching aim was to establish a structured approach for comprehensively investigating the mechanisms and responses of forest ecosystems amidst the backdrop of ongoing climate change.
As part of this effort, both lecturers and students engaged in a mutual exchange of insights, focusing on subjects related to the management of natural resources and the environment. This collaborative learning environment allowed students to not only share their perspectives but also envision the practical application of acquired skills, both within the classroom and out in the field.
