On August 5th, 2023, Asoc. Prof. Dr. Sittichai Pimonsree, a water management researcher at the University of Phayao, along with team of researchers and a research assistant, actively participated in sharing their innovative research findings aimed at addressing drought challenges. The focus of their study was the water management in Ban Mae Suk, Mae Jai, Phayao. The team seamlessly integrated knowledge from diverse researchers to devise novel solutions.
During their field visit to Ban Mae Suk, the team meticulously examined and monitored the outcomes of two projects: the "District Office Relieving the Suffering Project" and the "One Tambon Project One Sustainable Village" (Sustainable Village). These initiatives, spearheaded by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, were designed to enhance the quality of life for villagers and mitigate social disparities in a sustainable and integrated manner.
The comprehensive research outcomes have been documented and are now accessible on the Kwan-Smart water website, a digital platform dedicated to water management information in Phayao. The research project received funding support from the Agricultural Research Development Agency (Public Organization).
