BCA researcher organizes workshops and exchanges of knowledge at Klongwan local fishing community, Muang District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.

Dr. Ausanee Rasameewongchan, a researcher and an accounting lecturer at the School of Business and Communication Arts, organized workshops and exchanges of knowledge at Khlong Wan local fishery community, Muang District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, as part of the research project “Building Potential for High-Quality Product Processing from Local Fisheries Prachuap Khiri Khan Province to Sustainably Add Value to the Foundation Economy.” Program Management Unit funded the project on Area-Based Development (PMU A). The notable speaker in creating recipes using products from local fishermen of Klong Wan as the basis for the workshop was Chef Thanwa Jitnaray, one of the contestants of MasterChef Thailand Season 4, who has a vital skill for seafood. The workshop aims to create value-added and expand the customer base for local fishery products.

The following two recipes were created from the workshop as follows:

1. Crab Fried Rice with Narok Chili Paste contains the main ingredients of crab meat and Auntie in Front of the Hotel’s Narok Chili Paste from the Khlong Wan community.

2. Sweet fish sauce with a sticky and firm texture can be eaten with fruit every season. Klongwan shrimp paste and palm sugar are mainly used in the local raw materials.
