Assist. Prof. Dr. Prakobsiri Pakdeepinit, dean of the school of Business and Communication Arts (BCA), together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surasak Saokaew, dean of the school of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the administrative teams from both schools signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the University of Phayao, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, the university’s president, and S-Design Trading Co., Ltd. The MoU aims to promote academic and research cooperation to create innovative products for sustainable local business growth. The president has given the welcoming address to miss Sutatsa Laohongkiet, managing director of S-Design Trading Co., Ltd., and the company’s management team.
Both schools of Business and Communication Arts (BCA) and Pharmaceutical Sciences and the S-Design Trading Co., Ltd. strive to develop and exchange the body of knowledge that could utilize and extend the research-related works of the University of Phayao to make the innovation marketable. The discussed possible academic and research collaboration to commercialize innovative products includes technology, business, tourism, marketing, and communications research. Such collaboration generates sustainable local business growth in the long run.
Furthermore, S-Design Trading Co., Ltd. has affiliated companies in various industries such as fashion, hotel, health, beauty and wellness, and local enterprise products, which could lead to the possibilities for internship and cooperative education in the future.
The collaboration is aligned with SDG goals 1, 3, 4, 8, 9, 11, 12, and 17.
