On Tuesday, 29 September 2026, Ms. Thitiporn Maneejanchuk, Acting Director of the Planning Division, together with Ms. Ampika Amphut, Head of Strategic Planning Section, and Mr. Udomchai Yawan, Head of General Administration Section, from the Planning Division, University of Phayao, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Samritthisuk Conference Center. The ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongsabangpho, President of the University of Phayao, at the construction site in Mae Sai Subdistrict, Mueang Phayao District, Phayao Province, Thailand.
The Samritthisuk Conference Center is being developed on land donated to the University of Phayao by Mae Chi Samrit Jobkit. The center aims to serve as a model facility for comprehensive elderly care, covering health promotion, disease prevention, medical care, and health rehabilitation. It will also serve as an academic service center, providing knowledge and support for older adults and local communities.
The University of Phayao has set a construction period of one year, with the goal of establishing the center as a hub for advancing knowledge, research, and academic services in healthcare. The initiative is expected to contribute to the systematic development of elderly care services in the local area and promote sustainable improvements in the quality of life of older adults and the people of Phayao Province.
The participation of the Planning Division reflects its engagement in supporting the university’s mission and strategic development, particularly in advancing community well-being and sustainable healthcare services for an aging society.
