On 23 September 2026, School of Engineering University of Phayao, led by Associate Professor Dr. Nattapong Damrongwiriyanupap, Dean of the School of Engineering, together with the School’s executive team, convened the “Meeting on Operational Directions and the Strategic Development Plan of the School of Engineering for Fiscal Year 2027” at the School of Engineering Meeting Room, EN 1104.
The meeting was organised to communicate and foster a shared understanding of the School’s operational direction, objectives, and strategic development plan for Fiscal Year 2027. It also served as a platform for translating strategic priorities into concrete implementation frameworks aligned with the overall direction and strategies of the University of Phayao. Particular emphasis was placed on integrating the School’s core responsibilities in human capital development, research and innovation, academic services, arts and cultural preservation, and efficient organisational management responsive to ongoing changes.
In this regard, the School of Engineering’s operations are designed to support the five core missions of the University of Phayao, as follows:
1. Developing Human Capital with Future-Ready Competencies and Skills
The School is committed to equipping students with comprehensive knowledge, professional capabilities, and essential competencies required to adapt effectively to the evolving world of work and the changing demands of the industrial sector.
2. Advancing Research and Innovation for Economic, Social, and Community Development
The School promotes the creation of new knowledge, research, and engineering innovations that can be effectively applied to generate value and address the development needs of the economy, society, and local communities.
3. Delivering Academic Services through Knowledge and Innovation
Engineering knowledge, expertise, and technologies are transferred and applied through academic services for various sectors, with the aim of generating tangible benefits for society and communities.
4. Preserving Arts and Culture while Sustaining Thai Identity
The School supports the conservation, promotion, and continuation of arts and cultural heritage, local wisdom, and Thai identity, while integrating these dimensions with advancements in science and technology.
5. Promoting Modern, Efficient, Transparent, and Good Governance-Based Management
The School is committed to developing a modern and agile organisational management system characterised by efficiency, transparency, accountability, and verifiability, while encouraging meaningful staff participation in organisational administration and development.
The meeting reflected the School of Engineering’s commitment to translating strategic directions into effective implementation, with particular emphasis on participatory management, transparency, accountability, and the principles of good governance. These approaches are intended to strengthen organisational capacity and support the sustainable and quality-driven development of the School of Engineering in alignment with the University of Phayao’s broader institutional development direction.
