BCA

On 22 May 2026, Warach Madhyamapurush, PhD, Chair of the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Tourism and Hospitality Management at the School of Business and Communication Arts, University of Phayao, and Deputy Director of the Institute of Innovation and Technology Transfer, was invited to serve as an external academic expert for the curriculum critique and review meeting of the Bachelor of Arts Program in Tourism and Service Management (Revised Curriculum, B.E. 2027) organized by the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management, Mahasarakham University.

His participation reflects the active role of the School of Business and Communication Arts in contributing to national academic networks through the exchange of knowledge, professional experience, and scholarly recommendations aimed at enhancing curriculum quality. The review process focused on ensuring alignment between higher education programs, emerging trends in the tourism and hospitality industry, and the evolving demands of the future workforce.

During the meeting, participants discussed key issues related to curriculum development in the twenty-first century, including the integration of digital competencies, service-oriented professional skills, entrepreneurial capabilities, and other essential competencies required in a rapidly changing tourism environment. These discussions were intended to support the development of graduates who possess the knowledge, skills, and adaptability necessary to respond effectively to contemporary industry challenges.

A significant outcome of the curriculum review was the generation of diverse expert recommendations that will contribute to the continuous improvement of the program. The insights provided are expected to enhance curriculum relevance, academic quality, and compliance with higher education standards, while strengthening graduates’ competencies to meet both national and international labor market expectations.

Furthermore, the involvement of the School of Business and Communication Arts in this academic forum demonstrates its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, which promotes inclusive and high-quality education through curriculum innovation and lifelong learning opportunities. The initiative also supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by fostering academic collaboration among higher education institutions, encouraging knowledge exchange, and strengthening partnerships that contribute to sustainable educational development and human capital advancement.
