On April 18, 2026, the University of Phayao, led by Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Phattrawan Phattraborwawut, Deputy Secretary-General of the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), at the L806 Meeting Room, School of Management, Wave Place Building, Bangkok.
The agreement focuses on strengthening academic collaboration and educational management to enhance overall education quality. A key objective is to develop the competencies of school administrators and teachers, equipping them with advanced professional skills aligned with modern educational demands, while improving student outcomes across all dimensions.
The MOU also places strong emphasis on improving the effectiveness of special education management. Both parties aim to ensure inclusive education, equitable, and responsive education for all learners by promoting innovative learning approaches, supporting academic knowledge exchange, and building collaborative networks among relevant institutions.
This partnership marks a significant step in integrating efforts between higher education institutions and basic education authorities to elevate Thailand’s education system, reduce educational disparities, and expand sustainable learning opportunities for all learners.
