The School of Energy and Environment, in collaboration with the Center for Environmental and Sustainable Management and the Plant Genetic Conservation Project (RSPG, University of Phayao), organized a hands-on workshop entitled “Measurement of Carbon Sequestration in Forests” during 24–25 March 2026 at the University of Phayao. The opening ceremony was presided over by Assistant Professor Suwit Panyawong, Vice President for Environment and Landscape.
The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge and practical skills in measuring carbon sequestration in forest ecosystems. The program featured a lecture by Dr. Nittaya Cha-un from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, along with field-based training conducted in the forest area of the RSPG project site under the supervision of Dr. Prus Pingmuanglek from the University of Phayao.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Anusorn Boonpoke, the project leader, defined the objective of the activity as focusing on the integration of academic knowledge into practical application, in order to support natural resource conservation and promote sustainable environmental management at the local level.
