Industrial Engineering Researcher University of Phayao Receives NRCT Quality Achievement Award at Thailand Inventors’ Day 2026

Assistant Professor Dr. Potejanasak Potejana, a lecturer in the Bachelor of Engineering Program in Industrial Engineering, School of Engineering, University of Phayao, attended the Research and Quality Achievement Awards Ceremony for Fiscal Year 2026, organized by the National Research Council of Thailand under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. The event was convened to recognize and honor researchers whose high-quality scholarly contributions have generated tangible and measurable impacts on national development.

The award presentation took place during Thailand Inventors’ Day 2026, held under the theme “Unlock Thailand – Power of Invention and Innovation” from 5–9 January 2026 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangkok.

On this distinguished occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Potejanasak Potejana received the “NRCT Quality Achievement Award” a prestigious honor conferred upon outstanding research works, theses, and inventions that have undergone a rigorous evaluation process in accordance with established standards of research excellence, academic distinction, and demonstrable potential for practical application at the national level.

For Fiscal Year 2026, a total of 230 works were selected for the NRCT Quality Achievement Award, comprising 78 research projects, 87 theses, and 65 inventions. The awarded works spanned a wide range of disciplines, including nanomaterials and clean energy, medical technologies and AI-assisted diagnostics, vaccine development and immunological studies, sustainable agriculture research, waste valorization and circular economy initiatives, as well as advanced knowledge applications aimed at enhancing the nation’s competitiveness across economic, social, and environmental dimensions.

This recognition represents a significant source of pride for the School of Engineering, University of Phayao, and underscores the capability of Thai researchers to generate high-caliber knowledge and innovation at the national level. It further reflects the institution’s commitment to advancing research that aligns with national strategic priorities and is poised for sustainable translation into commercial and public-benefit applications in the future.
