Engineering UP Receives Hybrid Solar Air-Conditioning Demonstration Equipment to Advance Renewable Energy Knowledge

On 10 September 2025, School of Engineering, University of Phayao, represented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Apichat Buakla, Associate Dean for Administration and Special Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuttanon Pongpanit, Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Industrial Collaboration Development, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nopparat Katkhaw, Air-Conditioning Specialist, formally received the “Hybrid Solar Air-Conditioning Demonstration and Testing Set” from Thai Tasaki Engineering Co., Ltd., a leading manufacturer and developer of high-quality air-conditioning systems with over three decades of experience in the engineering and HVAC industry.

This contribution aims to strengthen teaching, research, and academic development in the field of mechanical engineering, while also providing a hands-on learning platform for students and researchers to examine the efficiency of integrating renewable energy with modern air-conditioning technologies. In particular, the Hybrid Solar Air-Conditioning System represents a vital innovation for reducing electricity consumption and fostering sustainable development.

In addition, the School of Engineering and Thai Tasaki Engineering Co., Ltd. engaged in discussions to enhance collaboration between industry and higher education institutions, with the shared mission of advancing engineering knowledge and cultivating highly skilled human resources capable of driving national innovation in the energy sector.

The donated equipment will be utilized for laboratory-based teaching, applied research to improve energy efficiency, and academic services for both the community and industry. These initiatives are expected to contribute to the establishment of a Low Carbon Society and support the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
