School of Liberal Arts, University of Phayao, Hosts AI Training Workshop to Enhance Staff Efficiency

     On July 9, 2025, the School of Liberal Arts, University of Phayao, organized a hands-on training workshop titled “Applying AI to Enhance Work Efficiency for Support Staff” at M2 Waterside Hotel, Phayao Province. The event aimed to equip support staff with essential knowledge and skills in utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies effectively.

The workshop was divided into three main modules:

Module 1: Introduction to AI
Participants explored the history of AI, from its origins during World War II to its modern-day applications. The session covered types of AI and how it integrates into daily life.

Module 2: Using AI in the Workplace
This module focused on practical tools such as Microsoft Copilot for document creation, data analysis, and content generation. Participants also learned how to craft effective prompts to optimize AI outputs.

Module 3: AI for Creative Design
Attendees were introduced to Gen AI tools like DALL·E, Midjourney, and Adobe Express for generating images, videos, and design prototypes. The session emphasized prompt writing techniques to achieve desired creative results.

This initiative reflects the School’s commitment to fostering ethical and innovative use of technology, empowering staff to adapt and thrive in the digital era.

     The School of Liberal Arts, University of Phayao is committed to advancing its organization toward becoming a “Language Innovation Institute for Enhancing Community Well-being.” This vision is realized through the integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) to improve the efficiency of support staff operations across various domains, including student affairs, planning and policy, finance and procurement, human resources, administration, IT services, language center, and public relations.

     AI is creatively applied in tasks such as designing surveys, analyzing data, generating documents automatically, and planning workflows. The School emphasizes responsiveness to the needs of learners, service users, and all stakeholders, aligning its development efforts with strategic goals under the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx) framework. Furthermore, the School actively promotes digital literacy and capacity building among its personnel, aiming to elevate education, academic services, and sustainable community engagement.
