From June 25 to 26, 2025, School of Engineering University of Phayao, conducted a training program titled "Knowledge and Skills Development for Safety and Fostering a Safety-Oriented Organizational Culture" at the EN 4406 Seminar Room. The primary objective was to strengthen the awareness, understanding, and hands-on abilities of School, administrative staff, housekeeping personnel, and security officers in responding effectively to emergency situations.
The program welcomed expert speakers from the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Division of Dok Khamtai Municipality, who delivered informative sessions on the following critical safety topics:
- Fundamentals of earthquake hazard awareness
- Fire prevention strategies and firefighting techniques in workplace settings
- Emergency evacuation protocols
- Core principles of basic first aid
- Initial assistance for emergency medical situations
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and basic life support techniques
In addition to the lectures, participants engaged in hands-on simulations and drills, including fire suppression, evacuation exercises, and first aid practice—all designed to mimic real-life scenarios. The initiative aimed to ensure that all participants are well-equipped with practical, accurate safety knowledge, thereby minimizing potential risks to life and property within the School and fostering a strong internal culture of safety.
