On Thursday, June 26, 2025, the School of Liberal Arts organized the annual Wai Khru ceremony under the theme “Paying Homage to Respected Teachers” for the academic year 2025. The event was presided over by Assistant Professor Dr. Chittima Kaweera, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts, and attended by administrators and representatives of school members.

The purpose of the ceremony was to preserve and promote the rich cultural traditions of Thailand, strengthen bonds between students and school, and foster encouragement and inspiration within the academic community.

During the ceremony, the Dean delivered a speech to students, emphasizing “the importance of time management and creating learning opportunities for oneself in order to achieve personal development in line with set goals.” In addition, Ajarn Nattaworn Wongjitratorn, Associate Dean for Student Affairs, formally announced the induction of this year’s student cohort under the name “Saktichai Ayaret” Batch.

As part of the event, the School presented awards to 25 students recognized for outstanding academic performance and exemplary conduct. Furthermore, 81 student leaders serving in the Liberal Arts Student Club were honored for their distinguished leadership. All award recipients exemplified the university’s desired graduate attributes: “Integrity, Discipline, and Volunteer Spirit,” as well as demonstrated the identity of University of Phayao students, namely “Wellness, Aesthetic Appreciation, and Personality.”
