The School of Science, University of Phayao, under the leadership of Dr. Patcharin Tangchaisuriya, Associate Dean for Student Development and Alumni Relations, prioritizes the care and support of students in all aspects, especially mental health. To this end, she led 7 faculty members from 5 programs to participate in the UP-MPF project training, aimed at developing basic counseling skills for students with mental health issues, on Wednesday, March 5, 2024, at Fa Mui Meeting Room, Sanguansermsri Building, University of Phayao.
The faculty members who participated in the training were Asst. Prof. Dr. Sukanya Suebsan (Biology), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arak Klinbumrung and Dr. Sirikamon Saengmee-anupharb (Physics), Asst. Prof. Dr. Boontharika Thapsukhon and Asst. Prof. Dr. Reungruthai Sirirak (Chemistry), and Asst. Prof. Dr. Tanaphong Prommai (Mathematics).
The purpose of this training was to equip advisors with basic counseling skills and enable them to effectively care for and assist students with mental health challenges. This initiative is part of the School of Science's policy to provide close support to its students.
