On February 8, 2025, Physical Therapy team from AHS UP led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ajchamon Thammachai, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Community Innovation, and Dr Chonticha Kaewjoho, hosted PT Community Health at Mae-Ing Village, Mae-Ing Subdistrict, Phu Kam Yao County, Phayao. On this occasion, the team was welcomed by Ms. Ajchara Intasuwan, head of the Dongjen health promoting hospital.
Dr. Eakarach Wongsaya, assistant to the dean for PT career development, AHS UP led the team to greet and open ceremony.
The aims of the event were as follows.
1. To encourage PT students to better understand their roles and duties in primary healthcare practice via active learning method
2. To encourage PT students to gather skills and knowledge for better understanding in preventive healthcare for community.
3. To provide a chance for PT national day onsite services.
4. To establish PT careers to community perceptions and team-based practices for PT students
The event was a part of holistic approaches with community health course which was aimed at 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students of PT. The scheme provided opportunities for participating students to practice and learn about the mentioned topics which were useful for students to acquire all these essential skills.
