Civil Engineering UP, opens new perspectives for students by teaching them the method of casting prestressed concrete beams

The Bachelor of Engineering Program in Civil Engineering at the School of Engineering, University of Phayao, led by faculty members, organized the “Professional Study Visit Program in Civil Engineering.” This program aimed to enhance the knowledge and perspectives of third- and fourth-year students nearing graduation by providing insights into the methods of casting prestressed concrete beams used for railway sleepers and elevated railway bridges.

The third-year students participated in the study visit on November 25, 2024, while the fourth-year students attended on November 28, 2024. The visits included stops at the CKST Joint Venture Precast Concrete Plant (Chiang Rai office), the Den Chai-Chiang Rai-Chiang Khong Railway Construction Project, the Kiri Chai Yama Skywalk on Doi Saken, and the Ban Pa Ko Dam Community School, all located in Chiang Rai Province. The program aimed to inspire learning and foster experience sharing between students and industry experts, facilitating discussions that promoted self-development in the field of civil engineering. This initiative supported continuous professional growth by offering students valuable insights from experienced professionals.
