School of Education conducted the development of learning resources, the wooden caving Buddha image, Wat Bun Hom towards sustainability
On July 16, 2024, the School of Education conducted the development of learning resources, the wooden caving Buddha image, Wat Bun Hom towards sustainability, at Wat Bun Hom, Dok Khamtai District, Phayao by Associate Professor Dr. Ruksit Suttipong, the Dean, was the president to open the ceremony, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Sunthon Khlai-Um, the Associate Dean of Planning and Student Quality Development, Assistant Professor Dr. Natthawut Subphaso, Assistant Dean, and Mr. Wittavas Thiwai, Head of Planning. However, it was welcomed by Mr. Narong Namwong, President of the Dok Khamtai Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Phra Manit Pasanno, the community expert in carving wooden Buddha images lecturer on “Development of learning resources "wooden caving Buddha image, Wat Bun Hom towards sustainability as a base", and Mr. Surasit Pompa, Director of Education Division, Dok Khamtai Subdistrict lecture on “The path for preserving wooden caving Buddha image, Wat Bun Hom”. There were 35 participants. The objective of the project is to conserve the wooden caving Buddha image, Wat Bun Hom for sustainability, develop and promote cultural tourism in Dok Khamtai Subdistrict, Dok Khamtai District, Phayao Province, build a community economy based on culture and local wisdom, and have the learning resources in the community as a base for participatory learning between educational institutions, local government organization, people in learning resources, and educational institutions in the community following to the aspirations of the University of Phayao “Wisdom For Community Empowerment”.
