The School of Political and Social Sciences recently held a grand event titled the " Innovation Challenger Project" on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. The event took place in Room PKY 1 at the old building complex of the University of Phayao. Associate Professor Dr. Montra Pongnil, the Dean of the School of Political and Social Sciences, presided over the event, joined by faculty administrators, lecturers, staff, and students.
This project was a collaborative effort, with faculty members from each program within the School of Political and Social Sciences serving as judges for the students' exhibitions from various programs. The event included activities such as general academic showcases, projects integrating coursework with community service, and a Thai luk thung singing competition. Over 1,000 students participated, representing three undergraduate programs: Bachelor of Political Science, Bachelor of Public Administration in Public Innovation Management, and Bachelor of Arts in Social Development.
Beyond traditional classroom learning, the Faculty also encourages students to develop academic skills and produce various academic works within their courses that can be further developed for the benefit of the faculty, community, and society. The Innovation Challenger Project aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their work and academic skills, promoting diverse academic perspectives, knowledge exchange, and the enhancement of students' capabilities. Additionally, there were music performances by the band Soul and Sunday and the Luk Thung band, fostering connections between students, faculty, staff, and all involved. This event exemplified the faculty’s commitment to cultivating a positive organizational culture, making the School of Political and Social Sciences an enjoyable and engaging place to study and grow.
