Engineering UP Hosts Workshop on Earthquake-Resistant Structural
Design Using Prota Structure
    

School of Engineering, University of Phayao organized a professional workshop titled “Earthquake-Resistant Structural Design Using Prota Structure” on August 22–23, 2025, at the EN1301 Computer Laboratory. The workshop aimed to enhance knowledge and professional skills for both current students and alumni through upskilling, equipping them to meet the evolving technological demands and requirements of the modern construction industry with high-value investments.

The opening ceremony was graced by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Natthapong Damrongviriyanupap, Dean of the School of Engineering, who welcomed participants and officially inaugurated the workshop. Distinguished School members and industry experts also shared their expertise, including:

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Preeda Chai Mahawan, Chair of the Master of Engineering Program in Civil Engineering, School of Engineering, University of Phayao

Mr. Rittayut Konthong, Lecturer, Department of Civil Engineering, School of Engineering, University of Phayao

Mr. Kittipong Niamsuwan, ProtaStructure Specialist, AppliCAD Public Company Limited

Mr. Ekkrin Khunrat, Senior Technical Support, AppliCAD Public Company Limited

The workshop featured key topics such as lectures and hands-on sessions on 3D structural analysis and design software, as well as automatic reinforcement detailing for foundations, beams, columns, and slabs using ProtaDetails and Protasteel modules.

This initiative reflects the School of Engineering’s commitment to developing the competencies of graduates and alumni, ensuring they stay abreast of technological advancements and international industry standards.
