School of Liberal Arts Organizes Career Seminar for Japanese Language Major
On Monday, July 14, 2025, Japanese Language Department, School of Liberal Arts, hosted a career seminar for Japanese Language Major Students. The seminar, titled “Career Paths in Japanese Interpretation, Industrial and Service Sectors,” was held at the Language Center (Room CE 12203), University of Phayao, led by Dr. Ittiphol Buayoi, Assistant Dean, and Mr. Preecha Jaihan, Lecturer in the Japanese Language Program.
This seminar was designed to enhance students’ understanding of workplace-based learning, including roles, practices, and regulations. It also aimed to equip students with practical knowledge about various career paths involving Japanese language skills, helping them prepare for internships and make informed decisions about their future careers.
The event featured Mr. Tharadol Prongpanom, Strategic Key Account Executive (Sales and Business Development Japanese Speaking) from Mama Chem Co., Ltd., as the guest speaker. He shared valuable insights into the profession of Japanese interpreters, including the nature of the work, common challenges, preparation strategies, and problem-solving approaches. He also provided broader knowledge related to career opportunities in Japanese-speaking roles.
